First lit in 1870, the Cape Hatteras lighthouse shines over the Outer Banks of North Carolina, warning sailors of the sandbars that make up the “Graveyard of the Atlantic”.  Due to coastal erosion, the entire structure was moved 1,500 feet inland in 1999.  Its bold black and white design make it a classic icon for North Carolina.

Use improvisational curved piecing and fusible machine applique to create this souvenir of North Carolina.  Confident beginner or intermediate quilting skills are suggested.

Our kit includes the pattern and over 6 yards of fabrics for quilt top in Kona Cotton Solids. Fusible web and binding not included.

Finished size approximately 40" x 52".

Designed by Lori Cammie Rice for Cary Quilting.

Featured in our booth at Quiltcon 2024.
