Nora Bailey - Bio

Nora Bailey

Nora Bailey

My name is Nora Bailey and I moved to New Hill, North Carolina when I retired and now live with my son, daughter-in-law and two of my six grandchildren. I also own my childhood home in York Beach, Maine and spend every June there reinvigorating myself. I began sewing when I was five and continued to sew clothing, draperies, upholstery, etc. until I found quilting in the late 1980’s. In 2005 I began working at a quilt shop in Maine and began my quilt teaching career. Most recently I taught for five years at a local quilt shop that has closed. I am very excited to continue my quilt sewing journey at Cary Quilting Company. I am a member of Capital Quilters Guild and co-chaired the Capital Quilters Quilt Show for five years.  Aside from quilting, I enjoy scrapbooking my grandkids lives and many other crafts such as beadwork and wool handwork.
