Expressions Batiks Quilt Fabrics - Tjaps Twigs in Grape Purple/Multi - BTPT1131

Tjaps are batik fabric stamps created with thin copper strips that are manipulated by hand into florals, geometrics, or other motifs, then welded onto a metal base.  They are then dipped in wax and pressed onto a dyed base to create a “resist” as additional colors are overdyed onto the fabric.  Once the fabric has dried, the wax is removed to reveal the striking designs underneath.  By Riley Blake.  100% cotton, 42-44" wide.
