English Paper Piecing-Patchwork of the Crosses with Marnet

This is a one-session class on English Paper Piecing, showcasing the Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses pattern which uses elongated hexagons to create exquisite designs within the block based on the placement of your chosen fabrics. You will be learning/improving your fussy-cutting techniques, as well as focusing on color/fabric choice and placement to create your one-of-a-kind block designs.   The blocks are put together by hand, so no sewing machine is required!  This block is very versatile, and any fabric choice is welcomed!  Fussy cut Tula Pink or Kaffe fabrics (or any fabric, for that matter) or slash your stash using 2.5 or 2 inch strips or larger scraps.

Create a table runner, table topper, pillow, wall hanging or any size quilt with this block, or simply make one block and frame it – it is sure to be a conversation piece.  The variations of design within the block are numerous.  You can use the same fabric (for continuity) and have an assortment of designs

Marnet encourages all students to come 15 minutes before class to set up and get organized!
