Join Winter Camp 202 with Kim! The class will meet 4 times beginning in January 2024
This camp is all about scrap quilts. Kim will be sharing a few of her own patterns, along with the names of some similar patterns that you can obtain on your own.
All of Kim's quilts were made from her stash of scraps, but she will include yardage requirements if you want a more planned look.
In January’s session Kim will start by sharing how to start using up some of the smallest pieces in your stash with 2 quilts she calls 9x9x9 and 9x4x16. She will also share how to make 3 quilts that start with background squares that have 1, 2, or 4 corners covered: Floating Star, Scrappy Thorn Circle, and Buttercup.
February’s session will include 2 simple quilts made from leftover charm pack squares, along with a pattern Kim calls call Zig Zag.
March’s session will include an applique pattern, an Hour Glass block, and Rail Fence variation.
April’s session will be a wrap-up of what Kim has shared along with a Show-N-Tell of the projects that you have started or completed.
How Camp Works
Welcome to one of Kim’s Camps. In most of Kim’s Camp, she takes a pattern, breaks it up into workable sections. In each of the first few sessions she will demo a technique and give you some portion of the quilt to complete before the next month’s session.
There is no sewing in Camps.
Some Camps are ruler camps, where Kim demonstrates how to use Deb Tucker/Studio 180 rulers and how to use them in patterns that aren’t necessarily written using them.
Some Camps are Scrap camps where Kim shares at least 3 of her original interpretations of various quilt patterns using her scraps.
