Sue Dressler - Bio

Sue Dressler

Sue Dressler, Instructor at Cary Quilting CompanySue has been a sewing enthusiast almost all of her life. Her mother taught her how to sew, and she bought her first sewing machine at age 16. She sewed her own clothing throughout high school.

She started quilting in the late 1990's when she took a class with a friend. From that point on, Sue's garment sewing days were a thing of the past. She became an avid quilter, eventually purchasing her own longarm quilting machine so she could create her quilts from beginning to end.

Sue retired in 2013 from a 38-year career in mortgage banking, moved to North Carolina from California, and found her retirement dream working for Cary Quilting Company part-time. With encouragement from owner Julianne, Sue has entered quilts into the NC State Fair and Capital Quilters Guild shows, and she has won several ribbons for her work.
