In this powerpoint style presentation, Julianne takes you through her history as a portrait quilter, from the quilting bee challenges that started it all to her current projects and dreams. Her quilts will also be on display as a trunk show for participants to study.

Workshop 1: Create an Abstract Portrait Quilt, 6 hours
In this workshop, participants will bring 3-5 photo printouts of their own. One will be chosen and each participant will work to create his/her own abstract portrait quilt during class. This corresponds with Chapter 2 of "Portrait Art Quilts: From Photos to Fabric".
Maximum enrollment: 12 participants
Price: $650 plus travel & one meal

Workshop 2: Create a One-Color Portrait Quilt, 4 hours each over 2 days (8 hours total)
Workshop 1 is a prerequisite to taking Workshop 2.
In this workshop, participants will be creating a one-color portrait quilt based on Chapters 3 & 4 of "Portrait Art Quilts: From Photos to Fabric". There is some pre-work required before this workshop begins, including choosing a photo and having patterns printed at "quilt size".
