Scrap-aholics Anonymous 1 Quilt Class with Marnet

Skill Level: Adventurous beginner through master quilter!!. If you have scraps, you have made enough quilts to qualify for this class!! This class assumes a basic knowledge of sewing machine and how to sew a straight line/quarter inch seam.

Come to this one-session class "Let's Get Started" and learn a quick scrap busting block pattern for the featured quilt "Let's Get Started" using 2.5 inch strips (minimum length of strips 20 inches or 2 10-inch strips) all guaranteed to look fantastic when finished!! Improve/refine your cutting technique, piecing skills and accuracy in putting your blocks (and by extension your quilt) together!! If you are overwhelmed by your scraps, need to get your quilting drive back, or just need a quick and happy block to quickly eliminate some of your scraps, this is a class sure to boost your spirits!
If you cannot bear to throw possibly useful fabric away, join scrapaholic Marnet and learn how to put your orphaned (or not so orphaned!) 2.5 inch strips to make easy blocks that make up into awesome quilts. There are no fabrics too ugly to use in this class! At the end of the class you will be given instructions for making 3 or 4 variations of this first block.
You can go totally scrappy or use a controlled palette. You can choose to use a single fabric line or mix whatever your heart desires or your strips allow!! The only constants are your background color (which can be a bit scrappy, too) and your accent color (which probably shouldn't be scrappy)! All 5 variations are quick and easy to construct. You will find it hard to make only one!
