Intermediate Beginner-students do not need to have made a quilt in the past, however, they need to be familiar with how to use a sewing machine.

Maximum Enrollment: 6 

Anyone with a basic knowledge of sewing can learn how to make a beautiful landscape quilt without a pattern. Each student will create a unique wall hanging quilt.

We will spend the first part of class looking at fabrics at CQC, particularly at batiks, that you may want to use for the front, leaves, and tree bark of your quilt. You do not need to come with those fabrics if you do not have anything you like in your stash.

In this class you will learn to 

• Create a tree or shrub with leaves.  Students can choose to add elements of nature like snow, spring flowers or leaves.
• Learn the technique of shading and sunlight effects to give your quilt dimensions.

 Since there are no mistakes in nature, anyone can create a realistic landscape scene!
