Smile Train Ice Cream Stand - a summary

22 August, 2017

In case you missed it, Avery had a lovely time at her 7th annual Ice Cream Stand for Smile Train this year.

It’s with great pride that Avery sends your donations to Smile Train! As a bright and fun-loving 13-year-old, born with cleft lip and palate, it has been Avery’s mission to have an ice cream stand each summer to collect donations for children born like she was, who are in need of medical care.

As of the writing of this blog post, Avery has raised $517.25 in ice cream sales and donations this year. We still have some ice cream left in the shop’s freezer, so we hope to send $100 - $200 more before too long!

As she gets older, Avery is interested in exploring the potential of taking a service trip to a location where Smile Train is performing surgeries, sometime within the next few years. She is extremely bright, and is currently interested in medical research or epidemiology as a career.

Avery's first Ice Cream stand was when she was 6 years old. I hope you’ll take a moment to appreciate all that she has accomplished over the years. We are always accepting donations, and there is still ice cream left!

Thanks for your generosity!
